School of Christian Missions
Schools of Christian Mission are an educational experience for United Methodist Women and others wishing to expand their concepts of mission in today’s world.

A Call to Prayer & Self Denial
An offering is received annually in connection with the observance of “A Call to Prayer and Self-Denial” in local units. In each of 3 years of a 4-year cycle, gifts are divided equally between U.S. and overseas mission work for programs related to the annual theme. Every 4th year funds are used for pensions and health care for retired missionaries and deaconesses for whom the Women's Division is responsible.

World Thank Offering
The World Thank Offering is and has been for many decades an opportunity for personal Thanksgiving and learning of mission outreach. Through the years, mission has been the main focus of the members of United Methodist Women and its predecessor organizations. Being in mission is sharing our lives and gifts with others that all may be whole persons through Jesus Christ.

Bereavement
A group of UMW volunteers provides the meal for bereaved families in our church and community.

CUMC Vacation Bible School
Our UMW group provides financial donations and volunteers provide many hours of time & other resources to support this exciting interactive summer ministry for children ages 4 and up. The children of our church and community learn Bible stories, while experiencing the love of God. Crafts, food and music are all a part of this great event every July!

CUMW Casserole Bank

Hamilton County Kids Coats
Members of our UMW group actively plan and participate in free coat give-away which is held at Carmel United Methodist Church the first weekend in November each year. To participate in this worthwhile event, go to www.hamiltoncountykidscoats.org
