Scott McDermid, Minister to Youth, has been at CUMC since July of 2005 as our Youth Minister. He and his wife Nicole are dedicated to helping the youth of our church and the youth of our area to become young Christian people who are making a difference through evangelism, service and love. Scott believes that we are building a great youth ministry here at CUMC, and though it will take time; that our youth ministry will become a place of hope, love and acceptance where all young people can meet Jesus in a personal way and have a relationship with Him. Scott came to us after working for 4 years at Westfield Friends Church and before that as a Graduate of Taylor University in Upland with a degree in Christian Education. Scott is an alumni of Carmel High School where he was on the wrestling team and a 3 year member of the Ambassador Show choir. Scott enjoys drinking coffee, playing ultimate Frisbee and basketball, hiking mountains, playing with his dog Einstein, watching the Colts, and hanging out with his wife, Nicole. |
