Children & Family Activities
Family Together Event

Saturday, December 6 at 2:00 pm

It’s a party! Celebrate Jesus’ birth with a huge birthday bash! Play birthday games with a Christmas twist, do a simple project to give back, and most importantly experience the wonderful story of our Savior’s birth! Celebrate as a family the amazing gift God has given us!
 ‘Open Gym’ in the Family Life Center
Monday, December 22, Tuesday, December 23, December 29 and December 30. Adult supervision provided.1-3 pm for families.

 
ADVENTURERS (3rd & 4th graders) December 14-2:00– 4:00 pm
This month we will be meeting in the Family Life Center for a special Christmas Celebration and caroling in the neighborhood near the church.

Weekday Ministries Walk to Bethlehem
December 15-19
Once again the children of our Parents Time Out and Preschool Programs will be creating the story of Jesus’ birth. Throughout the month of December, different aspects of this holy event will be assembled and placed in the Chapel. The children will tell the story to their parents. Please visit the Chapel to see this wonderful display.

United Methodist Women
UMW Christmas Luncheon

December 5—11:00 am (Held at The Bridgewater Club at 161st St. and Carey Rd.) Santa (Ken Knowles) will sing and entertain following lunch. Tickets are available at the Church office for $20.

The annual pitch-in luncheon celebrating our Savior’s birth. Contact Katie Kessler at 846-9785.

Youth Christmas Tree & Wreath Sales
November 28—December 24
Monday through Friday 3—7 pm
Saturday 9 am—9 pm
Sunday Noon—5 pm
Wreaths and ornaments will be available for purchase on Sunday mornings from November 30—December 21.

 
Youth SWAT (Serving With Awesome Teens) Jr. & Sr. Hi Event
December 7—3:30—6:00 pm Angel Tree Shop & Wrap Night. Bring $10 to cover the gifts and dinner.

Christmas Crashers—Jr. & Sr. High Event
December 14—4:30—7:30 pm
A mobile Christmas party that will go house to house for different courses, returning to the church for desert and the Christmas Story.

Missions
Angel Tree November 30-December 7

Angels will be available during Coffee Fellowship. Purchase gifts for the children of incarcerated parent(s). The deadline for returning gifts is Sunday, December 16. Delivery is Saturday, December 20.

Fletcher Place Breakfast November 28 & December 26 6:50 am.

Continuing the monthly tradition of providing a hot, nourishing breakfast for the hungry at Fletcher Place in Indianapolis.
 

Christmas Eve Services

5:00 pm Children/Family Service in the Sanctuary
“Through the Eyes of an Angel”

See a glimpse into heaven as the angels unfold the story of our Savior’s birth. This 45-minute, interactive service includes a children-led drama, carols, kids’ choir, and a message for all ages. Come and let us adore the baby in the manger, Christ, our Lord!

A timeless tale; a musical troop of story tellers who gather together to communicate a miraculous true story; a story entitled, “Christmas.” Message by Rev. Patti Payntor
